Please, if you do not know me in real life, DON'T FRIEND ME!
So, I've been looking at apartments in Columbus the past several weeks. I'm not moving until July or August, but I wanted to make the decision now and have some options to make sure I could get an opening in time to move.

Well, I've narrowed it down to two. And since my brother (who will be living with me) doesn't care, I could use some help deciding. When all is said and done, they're about the same price and they're in the same part of Columbus and near the highway so I could get to campus fairly easily.

1.) http://www.rent.com/ohio/hilliard-apartments/bridgestone-apartments-4-517642?linkname=MyRent_ClaimViewed_button

Pros: This place is very nice, quite large, two baths which is nice so I don't have to share, and probably enough space in the master (which will be mine) to put a desk and sewing space as well as sleep. It's all one level, but the buildings are only two stories and each apartment has a private entrance. It also has a washer/dryer connection, though we'd have to find or rent our own to fill the space. They would also let us fill out the application now, reserve the current rate and "guarantee" an apartment when we need to move in the summer. We could have two cats, but only if we pay a little more in rent. Larger community.

Cons: There's not much storage space. There's a coat closet in the living room and a linen closet in the hallway, plus closets in the bedrooms. And the closets are all pretty small and don't have many shelves. It's farther from campus/the highway than the other apartment, and it's close to a busier (but not as nice) shopping center.

2.) http://www.forrent.com/apartment-community-profile/1001980.php OR http://www.apartments.com/Ohio/Hillard/Hilliard-Square-Townhomes/901240

Pros: Also very nice, quite large, and with two closets in the master, one with fold-out doors, plenty of space for bed/desk/sewing. Townhouse, which I like. Washer and dryer are included. This one is within walking distance of a library, post office, my current bank branch, several eating establishments, and is less than a mile from the highway. It has more storage, with shelves in all closets and the ability to walk into some of said closets even if they're not in the bedroom. Comes with a one-car garage and one assigned space. Smaller community.

Cons: Slightly smaller, only one bathroom, and we would have to wait until June to find out if they will have any openings, and there would be no guarantee they would or that we would be first in line. Only one cat allowed.

So basically, if I'm thinking of location I like the second one better, but if I'm thinking of living space I like the first one *slightly* more than the second, and the location is reasonable (and close to the place where #2 is anyway).

Opinions are welcome.

Other than that, I'm waiting with greater and greater impatience to find out what my financial aid looks like, to see if I can even afford either of these places. I'm thinking, based on what I got from Hollins for living expenses for grad school, that it will be more than find. But until I KNOW I'm stuck biting my fingernails. Especially the graduate assistant positions. REALLY want to know if I scored one of those. That would pay my rent right there.

I'm watching anime again. Currently working my way through my Bakuman obsession, and then I'm going to watch as much of Katekyo Hitman Reborn as I can before Otakon. I ought to be able to watch it all, I think. If I don't get distracted by something else again. ^^; It would help if I didn't have to watch it on animeultima. But there are only so many hours that I can steal my brother's Crunchyroll account.
